Very entertaining to play, and is fun to take a break from guitar once in a while. Item came promptly and in prefect condition, so if you dont want to get the guitar (if you have one from gh3) or mic, then getting this and the game (which is what I did) is good.

Overall, the PS3 Guitar Hero drum kit is a nice addition to the games. It allows the player to show off their rhythm and beat to their favorite music. What’s more, I was impressed at how quickly the kit could be assembled (I had the whole kit assembled in about 5-10 minutes. The only criticism I have of the drum kit is the fact that my kick pedal stopped working within the first few months. Kick pedals are relatively inexpensive though, so I just bought another one, and so far no problems. The kit itself is pretty durable though even for those really intense drumming parts such as the opening drumming solo in Hot for Teacher on GH World Tour. Overall, it is a lot of fun to play Guitar Hero with this kit, and I am really fond of the little control panel that lies in between the 2 cymbals (orange and yellow) at the top of the kit. It’s easy to use, easy to assemble quickly, and a lot of fun to play.

Upon first receipt of this product I found that one of the drum pads and pedals did not work. I emailed the seller about the problem and was told not to worry and that a new one would be mailed shortly at no cost to me. I received a new working model within a few weeks and did not have to send anything back to them. Overall, although the first product I received was broken, I had a great experience with this seller since they made it so easy to make an exchange.

This drum set is a great add-on to your ps3. Very simple to hook together and simple to learn for first time players like me. Before purchasing, I had read that some of these have problems straight out of the box. The main problems were that the red pad (one of the ones you will be using the most) is not as sensitive. The one I had got, which was a used one from ebay, did not have any problems with the red pad. However, after playing for a little over an hour, my orange cymbal stopped working completely. I had found online help on what can be the problem and how to fix it, nothing helped, but the seller was willing to replace. Also, if you do find the sensitivity off, you can find videos on youtube on how to fix them. There are videos on doing it through a software or others to actually opening the drums. The drums require very minimum practice to get the hang of them, around 2 songs. The build quality is decent and feel decently sensitive. I had used help from a video on how to make the cymbals a little more sensitive so I do not have to smack them, which could of caused the first cymbal to malfunction. It was surprisingly very simple with a small piece of masking tape. The three main pads seem sturdy enough to withstand tremendous beating. I really like the pedal, adds the feel of a real drums. Just like the sounds of drums in songs, the game has very repetitive patterns, which can get a little boring and tiring to get through a whole song. My hand started to hurt after doing a whole song of “The Eye of the Tiger” on medium. You basically hit the yellow cymbal nonstop, red pad a little, orange a few times, and I think once or twice the green and the blue. The drums themselves are a little to loud. Putting the volume up does not drain out the noise well. There are drum silencers you can buy that go from #10-$20 made for these.

Everything was good except for the orange symbol. I have to hit it extra hard to pick up.
