This product is defective. Random button press’s. Random input from everthing possible. DO NOT BUY.

  2. When I first got this; it worked pretty well. A switch on the side changes what kind of controller you can use. I first thought this switch worked like a power button and thought a couple friends could play off the 2 slots but that was not true. The only problem Ihave with it is that I can’t run in most N64 emulations; and it prevents me form playing those. It works good for other emulators though.

  4. First and foremost this product does work with Vista no problem. I plugged it in and it was immediately recognized and started working. There was nothing I had to setup or fool around with. I am using this with an emulator to play Goldeneye and it works great. It does seem to made cheaply but it gets the job done and performs as intended. I recommend that you place this somewhere where you won’t accidentally trip over the cord and break the unit though. I have mine plugged in the top USB port on my computer and have the unit velcroed to the inside of my computer desk so It’s not dangling around. All in all this is a good product that works as advertised with no drivers to download (at least for Vista) and was well worth the $20.

For all those who have written bad reviews and/or who have had problems making this adapter respond 100% to your N64 controller (or the PS controllers), you have to calibrate the controller under the gaming controllers option when you go to your Control Panel directory.

If your controller does not work still even after you calibrate, then most likely it’s either your controller being too old or for some reason just won’t function. The adapter itself works fine.
